POLYPROPYLENE

TEXTILE/APPAREL

Polypropylene yarn is the material of choice for functional apparel because of its low weight and hydrophobicity. We assist you in producing smooth, draw texture yarn (DTY), and air texture yarn (ATY) with excellent softness and comfort using our advanced STANTEX® spin finishes for the manufacturing of fine polypropylene partially based yarn (POY).

TECHNICAL APPLICATION

For many technical applications, polypropylene is the material of choice. STANTEX® spin finishes for filaments (CF) are available in a variety of denier sizes, including spin finishes for food contact. Texdale also provides spin finishes for a variety of uses, including geotextiles, packaging tapes, and more.

NONWOVENS

POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER:

Texdale offers a variety of spin finishes for the production of staple fibers that are processed into nonwovens, especially for hygiene purposes, under the brand name STANTEX®. Hydrophilic and robust hydrophilic-silicone-free and skin-friendly spin finishes are available for these applications. Low rewet and numerous strike through, as well as excellent run-off qualities, are provided by the robust STANTEX® spin finishes. The spin finishes give the polyolefin fibers good antistatic properties, resulting in good carding efficiency.

There are also products for polypropylene/polyethylene (PP/PE) and polyethylene terephthalate/polyethylene (PET/PE) bicomponent fibers. Texdale provides softening products with hydrophobic properties. Texdale spin finishes with active ingredients and skin-friendly botanical extracts add value to the fiber producer while still responding to the market’s wellness trend.

POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBER SPUN LACE PROCESS:

STANTEX® spin finishes are suitable for the production of hydroentanglement-bonded polypropylene staple fibers. During the spun lace process, the spin finishes show little foam forming. The products meet the requirements of CFR title 21 and EU Regulation 10/2011.

POLYPROPYLENE STAPLE FIBERS FOR GEOTEXTILES:

Spin finishes of the STANTEX® form are suitable for the production of staple fibers that are manufactured into geotextile nonwovens. The spin finishes have outstanding antistatic and low friction properties, as well as the ability to be processed at high speeds.

POLYPROPYLENE SPUNBOND NONWOVEN:

For the production of hydrophilic and permanent hydrophilic spunbond nonwovens, Texdale provides a variety of spin finish choices. STANTEX® spin finishes meet CFR title 21 and EU 10/2011 regulations.

The spin finishes are silicone-free and very gentle on the skin. They are great for items like top sheet materials for baby diapers, feminine hygiene, and adult incontinent products. STANTEX® spin finishes have a low rewet, good runoff, and low multiple strike-through values.

FLOOR COVERINGS

For many carpet applications, polypropylene is the most cost-effective solution. Bulk continuous fiber (BCF) yarn accounts for the majority of the production. Our STANTEX® spin finishes are suitable for a wide range of machine types and applications, including Soft Touch. Carpet backing tapes coated with STANTEX® work exceptionally well in terms of sewing forces.
